FAQ

1. How many products can be sold through a single terminal?

The LDC system supports up to 40 products per terminal, depending on the type of products.

2. Does the LDC system require a dedicated phone line?

No. Our system uses a telephone extension from your existing line.

3. What operating system is needed to run Director?

Windows 95, 98, 2000, ME, NT, or XP.

4. What Internet browser should be used with Director?

LDC Direct recommends Internet Explorer 5.0 or higher. The system is not compatible with Netscape.

5. Can a terminal restock before the scheduled call if a product is sold out?

Yes. The system offers an automatic inventory replenishment feature with customizable terminal settings.

6. Do distributors and their vendors receive the same billing information?

Both distributors and vendors receive weekly billing reports, but vendors only receive information on their own products. They do not have access to sales information of other vendors.

7. What port is the phone line supposed to be connected to in order for the installation to function properly?

The phone line should be connected to the terminal line port for optimal system performance. A phone can also be connected to the same phone line through the terminal phone port.

8. Is the LDC system multi-lingual?

The upcoming release of Terminal Software v 5.0 will allow users to choose from 4 languages: English, Spanish, German and French.
